Astrophotography - The Comets Images |
The big surprise in 1996 was the 1996/B2 Hyakutake. I made my first-ever reasonable astrophotos in March 1996. This comet was a good object to start with.
Even the Hale-Bopp C/1995 was discovered ealier - the show began one year after Hyakutake. And what a show ! Here is a small collection of the photos I made in 1997.
I made about 50 Hale-Bopp photos, where almost all came out reasonably well. I learned to work very carefully with my clock tracker. This payed off in many good results. The quote of photos which come out bad is below 10% now. The image quality suffers a lot. What you see here is poor to something much more impressive on the original slide.
On my Astrophotography I page, you may learn more on the equipment I use.
If you want a 20*30 cm print from the original slide of one of these images, let me know. You can get it from me ! I received a number of requests for my astrophotos. If you are interested you may access my order form.
Here are some photos in "stamp" size. By selecting the image you will get a higher resolution at 400*600.
All my good astrophotos are on a Kodak CD ROM now. They were professionally scanned. I do have them in a very good quality here now with a fantastic resolution.
These images can be ordered. See the astrophoto order page.
